We investigated this trend with a combination of sales data analysis, blind sound quality comparisons between wired and wireless earbuds at comparable price points, and conversations with audio engineers and product designers. The wired resurgence is not nostalgia — it is driven by concrete technical, practical, and cultural factors that wireless earbuds have been unable to address.
The latency problem that streaming made worse
